Patsy Ruth Trascher Cox passed quietly into the arms of her loving Savior on Sunday, July 08, 2012, with her loving husband and devoted care giver, T. Paul Cox at her side. She was 81. She was the mother of Joan Smith, Denise Scott, Mike Shelton, Rhonda Hicks, and Althea Cox, as well as the late Wayne Shelton, Allison Cox, and Kenneth Cox. She was the grandmother of James Shelton, Jared Shelton, Tyler Shelton, Harley Hicks II, Rachel Hicks, Eric Madere, Rebeccah Miraflores, Kevin Madere, Ashley Caceres, and Gregory Breaux, as well as the great grandmother of Ryan Shelton, Sydney Shelton, Juan de Dios Miraflores III, Sebastian Miraflores, and Natalia Caceres. She was a very active member of First Baptist Church of Harahan.
A funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Harahan, 276 Oak Ave, Harahan, on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
