Percy Tregre

Percy J. Tregre, Sr. was born October 25, 1926 in Hahnville, LA and entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 10:56 AM at the age of 84. He was the beloved husband of Geraldine Brady Tregre for 62 years and the loving father of Glenn Tregre (wife, Gina), Wade Tregre (companion, Donna), Kent Tregre, Jill Tregre Tassin (Husband, Bryant), Chris Tregre (Wife, Pati), Percy Tregre, Jr., Tammy Tregre Sassin (Husband, James), Sara Tregre Richmond (Husband, C.J.), and Gerald Tregre (Wife, Carol). He was the son of the late Arthur Tregre, Sr. and Edna Faucheux Tregre and he was the brother of Wilbert Tregre, Arthur Tregre,Jr. , Earlie Hrncir, Roy Tregre, the late Hazel Haydel, and the late Lester Tregre. He was the devoted grandfather of Brock Tregre, Drenda, Kent Michael and Maddie Tregre, Nicole Tassin Cedotal, Kristy Tassin Austin, Rebecca Medina, Michael and Brandi Tregre, Brandon, Ryan and Lindsay Sassin, Lee and Donna Tregre, Clinton and Rachel Richmond, Cory, Layne and Lakynn Tregre as well as the great-grandfather of Dakota and Braxden Tregre, Lily Troxler, Alex and Claire Worth, Collin and Aidan Cedotal, Kirsten Tassin, Lucas Austin, Abigail Medina, Kaylyn and Peyton Sassin, Sean Jarzmekowski, Kynlee Tregre. Mr. Tregre was an employee of Shell Oil Company for 38 years. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during World War II.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend funeral services at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hahnville, LA on Monday, March 14, 2011 at 10:30 AM. Visitation will begin for family at 8:00 AM and for friends at 8:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM. Burial will then be held at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Taft, LA. The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff members of River Region Hospice, St. Charles Parish Hospital and Caretakers Denene Thomas and Christy Tregre for all the loving care during his lengthy illness.
