He was the husband of Susan R. Harris; father of Ronnie E. Harris (Gina) and Renee M. Woodruff (Woody); grandfather of Savannah R. Este; son of the late Willard C. Harris and Hilda B. Harris. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Pat Chopin, Paul Harris, and Peggy Kokaly.
He was a hot rod and racing enthusiast, and restored a number of antique vehicles. He worked in the maintenance department of Jefferson Parish until his retirements, the latest was in May of 2025.
