Randy Ellis Martinez

Randy Ellis Martinez was welcomed into heaven on July 4, 2016 at 4:28pm at home, surrounded by those he loved following a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Randy was 68. Randy was a proud Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam from 1968-1969. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Mudgett Martinez; his father, Gillis John Martinez; his sister Linda Martinez Blouin, and his brother-in-law Tracy Blouin. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Kathleen David Martinez; three beloved children: Mona Bagot, Brian and Brad Martinez; his loving son-in-law Jeffrey Bagot, loving daughter-in-law Shelly; his five adored grandchildren, Matthew, Chase (April), and Seth Bagot, and Paige and Lainey Martinez; his loving brother Edwin Martinez Sr., sister-in-law Sherrie Melford Martinez, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. All family, friends, members of Plumbers and Steam Fitters Local 60, West Jefferson Medical Center Employees, Patriot Guard Riders and Serenity Hospice Staff are invited to attend services. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 9 am – 11 am at WESTSIDE LEITZ-EAGAN, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, and Christian service in the chapel at 11am and burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery in Avondale.
