Randy Joseph Thibodeaux went to meet the Lord on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at the age of 60. He was born in New Orleans to John G. and Calrita Denoux Stiltner. He was the loving husband of Susan Deas Thibodeaux for 33 years. Randy was the devoted father to one son, Benjamin Joseph Thibodeaux. Brother to Karen Stiltner Damare and the late John R. Stiltner. He is also survived by other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Randy was larger than life, giving 100% to everything he did. For well over 30 years, his work was one of his passions. He was an accomplished hairdresser at John Jay and an educator for Regis International and Paul Mitchell, travelling the world to teach. Running was another passion, having run more than 100 marathons. He was a co-founder of the Hotter Than Hell Marathon for RaceMD, a Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Non-Profit. When not in his running shoes, he could be found in a pair of his beloved cowboy boots. The bigger the better! Randy also had a deep love of music, playing bass in several bands from the 70's until recently. He was trained in Martial Arts and had a black belt in Karate. Even though we wished he would've used his skill to kick the "Tide's" butt, he was a die hard Alabama fan. When not participating in the above activities, he was harassing family and friends with corny jokes. Once you'd met Randy you'd never forget him. The world has truly lost a terrific person who always gave of himself to others.
A Memorial Mass will be held in Randy's honor on Monday, March 8th, 2021 at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 610 6th Street in Gretna, Louisiana. The visitation will begin a 9:00AM until the Mass time.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to hotterthanhellmarathon.com for RaceMD, a Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Non-Profit.
