Raymond Funck Sr.

Raymond Michael Funck, Sr. has passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 with his family by his side at the age of 53, after a long battle with lung cancer. He was the beloved husband of Leiana Loveday Funck for the past 19 years and loving father of Gian Nicolosi (Noel), Raymond Funck, Jr. (Amy), Rachael Morvant (Louis, Jr.), Miranda, Colin, Xander, and Jeremiah Funck, as well as the devoted grandfather of Kiley and Louis Morvant, III. He was the son of Iris Tanner and the late John Funck, Jr. and the brother of Deborha Hofer (Kevin), Janice Campbell (Thomas), Randy, Robbie, Ricky, Angela, and the late John “Sonny” Funck, III. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He served for 10 years with the Marrero Estelle and Harvey Fire Department, Station 61, where he reached the rank of Captain and he later retired from the United, Yellow, and White Fleet Cab Companies where he was a driver.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway.
