Raymond Joseph Richoux Jr. passed away peacefully at his home in Marrero, Louisiana on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at the age of 72. He is survived by his long-time companion Donna Chaisson, who stayed by his side. Father of the late Neil Richoux, Raymond Richoux (Heather), and Alex Richoux. Raymond is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Brother of Sheila R. Breath (Billy). Raymond is also survived by his dear friend since teenagers, Dale Bergeron, and his very close cousin Mike Vedros.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dale Bergeron and Mike Vedros for being constants in his life and being very helpful through his 3-year battle with cancer.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Raymond J. Richoux, Sr. and Dora Vedros Richoux.
Raymond was a retired, Self-employed welder. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially spending time in Grand Isle. Raymond will always be known for his infectious sense of humor and he loved making people laugh until the very end.
Raymond's family is planning a Memorial Service in Grand Isle for a date in the near future.
