Rene was the beloved wife of the late Roger Fred Vinet, Sr., with whom she shared a life and family filled with many treasured memories.
She was the loving mother of Fred Vinet, Jr. M.Ed., CAA (Heather), Todd Vinet (Violet), and Christy Powers (John).
Rene was a proud and devoted grandmother to Tyler Vinet, Jacob Vinet, Sara McLemore, Logan Carmouche, Victoria Penton, Liam Carmouche, Easton Vinet, and Ava Vinet, and the cherished great-grandmother of Scottie Lynn McLemore. Her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter were among the greatest joys of her life.
She was the daughter of the late Norman and Muriel Delaune. Beloved sister of Toni Hammond, the late Norman Delaune, Dale Delaune, Marilyn Rodrigue, Goldie Cressionie, Wayne Delaune, Sharon Bullock, and Tanya Crochet.
Rene will be remembered for the love she had for her family and for the special place she held in the lives of those who knew and loved her. She was the heart of her family, and the memories created throughout her 72 years will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, siblings, extended family, and friends.
She is reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband, Roger Fred, and many loving family members. Though her family will miss her deeply, they will carry her love with them always.
Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love will remain in the hearts of her family forever.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA, on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 7:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 4:30 PM until the service. A Committal Service will take place at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Ave, Biloxi, MS 39531, US, on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 9:00 am.
