Ricky Joseph Fitzgerald Jr.

Ricky Joseph Fitzgerald, Jr's sun rose on October 24, 1980 and set on February 11, 2024, at the age of 43. He was the son of the late Ruth Romano Manchester (Landis "Cowboy") and Ricky Joseph Fitzgerald, Sr. Devoted life partner of Maegan Maquar. Loving father of Gabrielle, Braysen, Sofia and Haylen. Brother of Stacy Brehm (Chris) and Trisha Fitzgerald (Titus "TJ"). Step brother of Landis Manchester. Proud Uncle of Alexis (Devin), Austin, Gavin and Tavin and great uncle of Damien. Parran of Alexis. Nephew of Patricia "Pat" (Matt), Carol, Joan, Marie (the late Kerry), Saverio (Gwen), Pas and the late Carlos. Ricky is also survived by many cousins and dear friends.

Ricky enjoyed life on the water. He was a commercial fisherman and worked as a deckhand on tugboats. He truly loved being on the water but most of all he loved his family. He would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. His goofiness, aggravation, heart of gold and all around personality will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero.
