Robert Henry Archuleta

Robert H. Archuleta, age 88, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 25, 2024 succumbing to the effects of advanced dementia. Robert is survived by sons Robert J. Archuleta (Patricia Hattier), Vance M. Archuleta (Shawne Savoie, granddaughter Ilyssa Archuleta (Charles Bodenheimer), a great grandson Aeryn Archuleta, four sisters (Lillian, Flora, Helen, Anita), four brothers (Steve, Paul, Tom, Mark) and innumerable nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years Caroline C. (Broome), his parents Juan B. and Maria R. Archuleta, and sister Lore Lopez. Robert was born on August 25, 1935 in Dinkeyville (Bingham Canyon) Utah. Robert was a 1953 graduate of Bingham H.S. and proudly served with distinction in the United States Navy for four years. He courted and married his future wife in Algiers where he was posted to by the Navy. They moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where they lived and raised their family for 38 years. Robert and Caroline returned to New Orleans in 1992 to help with his mother in-law’s declining health. Robert worked all of his life as a steel fabrication estimator. He will be dearly missed by family both here and in Utah. A memorial service will be held on Friday March 8, 2024 from 9:30 to 11:30 am at the WESTSIDE/LEITZ-EAGAN FUNERAL HOME in Marrero.
