Robert Olsen

ROBERT LLOYD OLSEN, born July 24, 1925, passed peacefully from this life on Monday, March 12, 2012, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of 62 years to Rosa Scott, and beloved father of Lloyd K. (Janet) & Colleen Olsen. Preceded in death by parents, Lloyd R. Olsen, Katie Olsen Scott and stepfather Mason Scott; brothers, Ted Olsen, Russell Scott & Mason Reed Scott and grandson, Garland R. Labat. A Marine Corps veteran of World War II, who served in the West Pacific on the Island of Guam. Retired Gen. Supt. from J. Ray McDermott, Offshore Pipeline Division, implemental in the pipeline construction & installation in the Gulf of Mexico, Venezuela & Nigeria. Survived by brother, George (Diane) Scott and sister-in-law, Jean Olsen. Grandfather to Harold (Trudy), Kelly (Julie) Burns, great-grandfather to Adam, Zoe, Jenna, Maya & Conor Burns, and Ian Bowers. Also survived by, many nieces, nephews, & other family members including those residing in Texas, Georgia & Florida. After retirement pursued his love of woodworking and made many wooden toys for donation to the Marines Toys for Tots.
