Robert Lee Whittington, Sr. of New Orleans, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at the age of 70. He was born to the late Richard and Carrie Whittington. Devoted of father of Robert L. Whittington, Jr. and Rita K. Parrott (Harlan). Grandfather of Ethan and Dylan Parrott. Brother of Laura Warren (the late Richard), James Whittington, Elizabeth Strong (the late Jerry), Susan Maher (Jerome), Steve Whittington, and Patricia Vaught (Steve). Robert is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
In 1972, Robert joined the United States Air Force and served as an Aircraft Specialist and later ranked as a Sargent. Robert was an avid hunter and fisherman that enjoyed nature.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service that will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Avondale, 360 S. Jamie Boulevard in Avondale, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 10:00AM and continue until the service time.
