

Ronald "Killa" Joseph Phillips, a native of Grand Bayou, LA and a resident of Westwego, LA passed away on September 4, 2014 at the age of 65. He is preceded in death by his father, Fred Phillips; mother, Anna Mae Phillips; sister, Mona Lisa Bergeron and one grandchild. Survived by 4 children; Rosella Phillips, Cory (CJ) Phillips, Ronald (PJ) McClelland, and Anna Marie Brown, 5 brothers; Roland Phillips (his twin brother), Raymond Reyes, David Reyes, John Phillips, and Don Pedro Phillips, 4 sisters; Alice Eastman, Shelia Machado, Connie Bernich, and Myrtle Phillips. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and beaucoup friends, who were considered family to him. Killa was a seafood processor for Sam Matrana Seafood and Westbank Seafood for many years. Everyone who knew "Killa" knew that sooner or later he would make you laugh, because he always had a funny tale to tell. "KILLA" WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU! Family and Friends of the family are invited to attend the viewing from the parlor of Westside/Leitz Eagan Funeral Home, 5101Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 5pm until 11pm, and again on Friday morning September 12, 2014 after 8am until 10am. Funeral Services will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in the Chapel. Interment will follow in Grand Bayou Cemetery, Highway 23 South, Grand Bayou Village, LA.
