Rosalia Salvatore Orgeron

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. "Bobby O" Orgeron for 75 years. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Salvatore "Sam" and Crosse R. DiMarco, sister Anna Dantin, brother Lucian DiMarco, great grandson Camden Salsman, and great granddaughter Rosalie Orgeron. Mother of Christine Salsman (Homer), Kathy Dzyak (Bill), Gale Martin (Roy Jr.), and Robert M. Orgeron (Cathy). Grandmother of Toby Salsman (Tara), Christopher Salsman (Kim), Jessica Morrison (Donny), Joshua Dzyak (Nina), Katrina Dzyak, Roy Martin III (Aubrie), Rachel Deckelmann (Eddie), Holly Gassenberger (David), and Robert Orgeron Jr. (Ashley). Great grandmother of Tanner, Addison, Jules, Cohen, Roman, Ezekiel, Kayla, Landon, Cole, Madilyn, Jesse, Jamie, Hailey, Finley, Liam, and River.

She was retired from Dick Juge Insurance Agency. Before that, she was the secretary for Our Lady of Prompt Succor School for many years. She was a long time member of the Lady's Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus and of the American Legion. She loved being surrounded by her beautiful flowers and garden.

The family would like to thank the staff of Tranquil Living II in Marrero, Jane Haley and staff for their wonderful, loving care. They would also like to thank Hospice Compassus, especially Gayle, for the great attention to their Mom, and the help in this challenging time.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Westwego on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at church at 9:30 AM.
