Rosalie Barcelona Dixon passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the age of 79. Beloved mother of John Dixon (Donna), the late Gayle Dixon, Pauline Taylor, Conchetta Lowery (Kenny), and Charlie Dixon (Susan). Grandmother of Lynda, Anthony, April, the late Brandon Alvarado, Victoria, Andrew, Samantha, Jake, and Lindsey. Great-Grandmother of Lianna. Sister of Tudy Bridges, Josephine Melanson, and the late Marie Dominick. Preceded in death by her parents, the late Giovanni and Conchetta Barcelona. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was a native of Sicily, Italy and resident of Marrero. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service from Westside LEITZ-EAGAN, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Monday Morning, September 30, 2013 at 11:00. Visitation will be held on Sunday Evening from 4:00 until 9:00, and resuming on Monday from 9:00 until the time of service. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park, Gretna.
