Rose Pennino

Rose Palermo Pennino, at the age of 90, quietly passed away on November 14, 2023. She was a native of Hammond, Louisiana and a long time resident of Marrero, Louisiana. Beloved wife of the late Manuel Pennino, Sr. Very special mother of Manuel "Manny" Pennino, Jr. and Antoinette "Nettie" Pennino. Mother-in-law of the late Susan Pennino. Devoted grandmother of Leslie Pennino and Natalie Bourgeois. Loving great-grandmother of Haley Agoff, Preston Bourgeois, Skye Patty and Sophia Patty. Daughter of the late Sam and Josephine Palermo. Sister of the late Mary Prescia, Frank Palermo, Bessie Palermo, Josephine Bivona, Jake Palermo, Joseph Palermo, Sr., Pauline Martino, Antoinette "Antie" Bravata and Conchetta "Connie" Waguespack Palermo. Rose is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Peristyle Residences "The Jefferson" and The Sanctuary of Passages Hospice for their loving care.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 beginning at 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM and interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna.
