Roy Paul Rogers

He was a long-time resident of Luling, LA. He was an Army veteran who saw action during the Korean War, and retiree of Monsanto Chemical Company. He was a member of the American Legion, the VFW and The Knights of Columbus at Holy Family Catholic Church. He was born to the late Philbert Rogers, Sr. and Edna Gautreaux Rogers of Lockport. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Rogers-Bellanger and son-in-law, James Bellanger; his grandchildren, Ryan Burke (Amanda), Jessica Burke Farrell (Jarrod), Corey Rogers (Lesley), Lauren Rogers Matherne (Lonnie), Ridge Rogers (Casey), and Travis Simoneaux; and many loving great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sanders Rogers; his children, Royanne Rogers Simoneaux (Gerard Sr.) and Randy Rogers (Rhonda); his grandson Gerard Simoneaux Jr.; and his siblings, Clarence, Guy, Lawrence, Philibert Jr. "P.J.", and Gladys. The family would like to thank the loving staff at Summerhouse Ashton Manor and Hospice of Louisiana for their care.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church in Luling on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 12:00 PM. Visitation will begin at the church at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Des Allemands.
