He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by a host of family and friends. Most will remember Roy as always telling them to “give me a hug” and a kiss. He said this to all who came in his presence and even said it on his last day. When visiting him at home, many would enjoy conversation on his swing while listening to Country or Cajun music.
Roy served in the US Army during the Korean War. Continuing his pride, honor, and commitment he proudly & faithfully flew his American flag; making it fitting that he passed away on the founding anniversary of the Army and National Flag Day.
