Ruth L. Giammanco

Ruth L. Giammanco passed away on March 18, 2026, at the age of 93. She was the wife of the late Russell D. Giammanco. She is the loving mother of Bonnie Humphreys and Ray Begue, Jr. (Robin). She is the beloved grandmother of Bridgit Humphreys, Kyle Humphreys, Liz Humphreys, Clay Begue and Nina Begue. She is also the loving great-grandmother of Emersyn Humphreys, Tate Linder, Gibson Linder, Hazel Linder, Charli Humphreys, Layne Humphreys, Beckett Begue and Colton Begue. She is the beloved sister of Jeanette Seals (the late Ellis) and Carol LeBlanc (the late Lola). She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Russell Giammanco, her first husband Ray Begue, Sr., her son Michael L. Begue, her parents Alrid and Elenora Cheramie LeBlanc, her siblings Albert J. and Lucille LeBlanc and her fur baby of 16 years, Nate.

Ruth began her career as a secretary at Mimosa Park Elementary School and later became the proud owner of Ruth’s Fashions, a women’s clothing store in Luling. She possessed a bold strength and a stubborn streak, both of which she used to love fiercely.

To family, friends, and neighbors alike, she was simply a “Granny” to everyone—a source of comfort, wisdom, and unconditional love. She found joy in working in her yard, spending time with loved ones, and snuggling babies, all of which were her greatest pride.

Her light will continue to shine eternally.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ashley with Council on Aging, Kenner Regional Hospital, Luling Living Rehab, and Compassus Hospice for the excellent care they provided.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, Louisiana on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 12:30PM. Visitation will begin at 10:30AM until service time. Interment will be private.
