Samuel Leo “Mr. Dime” Dormio passed away on Monday, September 10, 2012. He was 86. Beloved husband of Bernice Grandison Ward-Dormio. Father of Melvin “Ricky” Dormio (Bridget), Victor Ward, Monya Ward and Darryl Ward (Detra). Also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Mabel Dormio. Veteran of World War II, and retired Jefferson Parish School teacher. Native of Vacherie and resident of Jefferson Parish for the past 44 years. He was an avid golfer, and member of Westside Golf Association. He was a member of the West Jefferson Bahá'í community. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Bahá'í funeral services from Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Saturday Morning, September 15, 2012 at 10:00.
