Terry Paul Authement

He was the loving husband of the late Josephine "Josie" Authement of 50 years and devoted father of Ashley Authement Joyce (John). A very proud Grandfather of Taylor Joyce (Alexis), Caleb Joyce (Allie), Elizabeth Joyce, Samuel Joyce, and Jacie Joyce. Great Grandfather of Luke Joyce, Liam Joyce, Lois Joyce, Mia Joyce, Benjamin Joyce, and Brooks Joyce. Son of the late Adam Felix Authement Jr. and Dora (Pierce) Authement. He is also survived by a brother, Adam Felix Authement III, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was a proud US Navy veteran and served St. Charles Parish as a Councilman and Councilman At Large for 12 years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. However, his favorite role was as a family man. He loved meeting people and had an engaging spirit, and was constantly thinking of others before himself. He will be remembered most for his patience and his integrity.

One of his favorite things to say to his family members was "Did I tell you that I love you today?"

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 20, 2025 at St.Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 234 Angus Drive in Luling, Louisiana. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until the Mass time. Terry will be laid to rest at St. Charles Mausoleum in Luling, Louisiana following the Mass.
