Theresa Josie Josephine DiMarco Sanderson

Theresa (Josie) Josephine DiMarco Sanderson, a lifelong resident of Marrero, peacefully joined our Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 27, 2010. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Paul W. Sanderson, Sr.; Theresa was a proud and loving mother of Paul W. Sanderson, Jr.; Rose Martha Sanderson Paradelas; and Mary Ann Sanderson Savoy. Grandmother of Kelly, Dale and Mark Sanderson; Lisa Paradelas McLean; Michael Paradelas and Amy Savoy. Great Grandmother of Alexis, Madilyn, Dominic, Abigail, Hayden, Mason Sanderson and Je`an Paul Paradelas. Daughter of the late Rose Reino and Ciro DiMarco of Palermo, Italy. Sister of the late Anna Andre, Josephine Pieno, Louis Andre, Lucille Prestenburg, Lucien DiMarco and Joseph DiMarco. Also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A faithful parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church who truly believed that all things were possible to those who believed in God.

A former employee of the U.S. Naval Supply Depot of New Orleans and Nicholson & Loup Supermarket in Marrero.

Theresa was constantly devoted to God, family and her garden. Theresa will always be in our thoughts and forever in our hearts. We will look to our memories for comfort and to faith for hope and peace.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 12:00 Noon at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home 5101 Westbank Expressway Marrero.
