I cannot thank you enough for all you have meant to my family as a teacher and friend. We shared plenty of laughter watching our kids do their thing! I always admired your integrity and kindheartedness. You were devoted to your "children", each one who came through your classroom door, ran across a field, or stepped onto a court. The impact you had on their lives will be long lasting. I know you were proud to know that so many of them are living out dreams you sparked in their young minds. God blessed me with you and I know He is proud of what you have accomplished here on earth. Rest in the peace of our Lord. I will miss you.

Gina and family,

My memories of Velinda are from LSU and what Gina shared with me over the years.

I pray that you are all comforted by the Holy Spirit and find peace at this difficult time.

Blessings to all.
