Wauteen S. Nenos

Wauteen Slay Nenos entered peacefully into heaven on Friday, February 13, 2015 at the age 82. She was the devoted wife of the late Thomas Nenos of 35 years. Loving mother of Conchetta Todaro, Kenneth Cotton, Sr., Francis Dorn and Thomas “Butch” Nenos, III. Proud grandmother of Frank Todaro, Jr. (Shawn) , Tena T. Robin (Glenn), Brandi T. Sullivan (Shannon), Kelly Todaro , Michael K. Cotton, Kenneth M. Cotton, Jr., Colt Miller, Codie Miller, Megan Dorn, Tyler Dorn and 11 great grandchildren, Dustin, Kayla, Madison, Kaleah, Noah, Dylan, Ella, Reagan, Kauren, Kaelyn and Liam. Daughter of the late Lena Fairchild Slay and Oliver C. Slay, Sr. She is preceded in death by her 5 siblings. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. As well as her best 4 legged friend “Bella”. A native of Pinenola, Mississippi and a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA.

“Tena” enjoyed raising her family, cooking, gardening, shopping, playing cards and her friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy., Marrero, LA on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Visitation from 9:00 am until Funeral time. Interment following in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, LA.
