

Wayne Guidry Sr, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on August 26, 2026, after a long battle with illness. Born on August 17, 1956, in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, Wayne lived a life full of warmth, laughter, and love.
Wayne was the treasured son of Tilman and Earline Guidry, who predeceased him, as well as a brother to Darlene and Ray Guidry, who also preceded him in passing. He cherished his roots and held his family close to his heart throughout his life.
On March 26, 1976, Wayne married his soulmate, Pamela, and together they built a beautiful family and shared 50 years of unwavering love and devotion. Wayne and Pamela were blessed with three wonderful children: Wayne Guidry Jr , Chastity Guidry, and Sierra Guidry. His legacy continues through his nine grandchildren—Logan Guidry, Madison Gonzales, Sage Guidry, Thorne Guidry, Kendrick Butler, Heaven Butler, Liam Guidry, Karter Butler, and Karsen Butler—and his two great-grandchildren, Icelynn Simmons and Braylon Carter. Wayne’s family was his pride and joy, and he found great happiness in their presence.
Wayne spent his career as a dedicated truck driver, a profession that imbued him with stories and experiences that he often shared with those around him. In his retirement, Wayne embraced the simple joys of life. He found immense pleasure in spending time with his family, playing cards, shooting pool, and enjoying coffee at the local donut shop. Known for his infectious laughter and kind heart, Wayne had an extraordinary ability to make everyone around him smile and feel at ease.
His family fondly remembers him for his generous spirit and his remarkable capacity to brighten the lives of others. He will forever be in our hearts and will truly be missed.
