Wiley Serville McDaniel

Wiley Serville McDaniel passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at the age of 81 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late Alite Hymel McDaniel. He was the son of the late Riley and Maude McDaniel. Loving father of Audie P. Hymel (Sharon) and Grandfather (PawPaw) of Courtney Hymel Gaudet (Matthew). Loving step-father of the late Carroll J. Hymel (Kathleen) and step-grandfather of Yvette Hymel Puckett (William) and Rita Hymel Glover (Stan). Brother of Wilton and Clifford McDaniel and the late Christine Seeley, Juanita Langston, Riley McDaniel, Laura Whitehead, Eugene and Milton McDaniel.

He served honorably in the United States Army, graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University and retired from Conoco, Inc. He was recognized as a Master Mason at Lodge #466. The family would like to thank his wonderful caregivers Brenetta, Gert, Gail, Peaches, Jaliseia and Donna. We will be forever grateful to all of you. Thanks also to Heart of Hospice for their excellent care, concern and support. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Thursday, March 3rd at 11:30 am Visitation will begin at 8#0 in the morning till the Funeral Mass.
