Bud lived his whole life for his family and his God. He had a servant's heart like no other man that has ever lived. His legacy of love, care and wisdom will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. To know Bud was to know God; compassionate, forgiving, accepting of all. He wanted everyone that he came in contact with to know that he saw them, truly saw them. He was a man like no other.
He is survived by his ever loving wife, Mary, his son Danny who brought him more joy than is possible, his daughter-in-love Lauren who he loved as his own, and his two beautiful granddaughters, Brooklyn and Audrey, who he lived every moment of their lives to see them smile; his loving parents, Woodrow and Lillian Henderson, his siblings, Jenny, Gene and Charlie who he loved deeply and completely; their wives, husbands and children; nieces, nephews and cousins who he shared his life loving them so well. He never withheld his love for his family and was always there when they needed a hug, a word of advice or just a smile letting them know that he was there for them.
If there is one wish that Bud would have for those he leaves behind, it is that each of you would come to know the love of Jesus, His peace and His unchanging love as he did. He lived his life showing that love and sharing that love with everyone he met.
If there ever was a man that heard the words "Well done, good and faithful servant; enter now into your rest" it was Bud Henderson. May we all hear those words one day.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.WestsideLeitzEagan.com for the Henderson family.
