Devoted wife of William Leroy Morgan. Loving mother of Alphonse Pleming, Mary Ann Ritzman, Natacha Pleming, Nathaniel Pleming, III (Gloria), Nettie Prieur (Andre), Lettie Pleming-Kilbert (Noelle), Richard Pleming (Stacy) and Racquel Hodges (Scottie). Proud grandmother of Savanah, Alphonse Jr., Alexis, Alzado, Fernando Jr., Christina, Nicholas, Jennifer, Keith Jr., Michael, Philip, Kyle, Monica, Joshua, Chloe', Adalid, Courtney, Rebecca, Meaghan, Jordan, Larson, Minden, Kirstie, Devin, Demi, Destiny, Madison, Natalie, Blake and Skye, great-grandmother of 39 and great-great grandmother of 1. Sister of Lyle LeBlanc and the late Ruffin "Jay" LeBlanc, Richard "Chappy" LeBlanc Jr., Ronald LeBlanc and Russell LeBlanc. Godmother of Jason LeBlanc and Andrea LeBlanc. Yolande is also survived by former son-in-laws Christopher Alonzo and Keith Rouzan Sr., former daughter-in-law Erica Curry and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death Nathaniel Pleming, Jr. and former son-in-law Fernando Ritzman Sr.
Yolande was a proud graduate of St. Mary's Academy and went on to inspire young minds as a teacher at St. Raymond's. She chose to leave the classroom to embrace her greatest role — that of a loving mother. Yolande devoted her life to her family and her faith, always putting others before herself.
A dedicated member of Promise Land Church in Marrero, her spiritual strength was a guiding light to those around her. She was a passionate fan of the New Orleans Saints and rarely missed a game, cheering them on with unwavering loyalty. However, her greatest joys were found in the kitchen and at home, where she loved cooking and spending time with her family.
Among her many cherished memories, two stood out: the day she met Joel Osteen and the moment she crossed paths with Saints legend Steve Gleason — moments that reflected both her deep faith and her love for her team.
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral services for Yolande on Monday, October 20, 2025 at 12:00PM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery No. 3 in New Orleans.
