Alice S Garrett

Mrs. Garrett was an obedient and faithful child of God who was a pastor’s wife for many years and enjoyed doing Bible studies. In her final days, she ministered to others making sure they knew Jesus Christ as their personal savior. Mrs. Garrett was a member of Abilene Baptist Church in Martinez, GA. She was passionate about music and loved playing the piano. In her spare time, she also enjoyed watching birds come to her numerous feeders.

Mrs. Garrett is preceded in death by her loving husband, Lester Garrett; son, Michael Garrett; parents, Marvin and Agnes Sterling; and brothers, Marvin Sterling Jr. and Ed Sterling. Survivors include her children, Debra Garrett (Cynthia Lake), Pam Welte (Kurt) and Jennifer Hill (Ashley); brother, Jerry Sterling; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

The family will receive friends from 10-11am, Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Columbia Road. Graveside services will be held at 1pm at Southlawn Cemetery in Aiken, SC on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 with Rev. Brad Whitt officiating.
