Anne Redd Rice

Mrs. Rice loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed being outdoors and going to their houseboat at the lake. She and her beloved husband spent much of their time traveling. Children held a special place in her heart, she enjoyed making fond memories when she served as Webelos Cub Scout Den Mother and worked in the Nursery at First Baptist of Augusta, as well as the board of elections and at the Masters Golf Tournament.

Mrs. Rice was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Irvin F. Rice; son, Byron W. Rice; parents, Herbert and Alice Redd; sisters, Mona McCoy of Kentucky, Hilda Daniello of Florida, Doris Swancy of Martinez; and grandson, Christopher Nagy.

Left to cherish her sweet memories are her children; Timothy W. Rice (Gidget), Steven M. Rice (Leslie), and Jeffery G. Rice (Jeana); grandchildren, Ashley Rice, Travis Nagy, Lauren Rice, Steven Rice II, Jeffery Rice II, Jordan Rice and Jace Rice; great-granddaughter, Kensley Nagy; sister, Dolores Daniel (Tommy); and a host of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. The family wishes to thank all of her caregivers who worked so compassionately to make her last days comfortable and safe.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Tad Marshall officiating. The family will receive friends at 1 PM until the service hour at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Pallbearers who will honor Mrs. Rice will be her grandsons.
