Beryl was born in England to Eva and Ernest Brown on December 26, 1935. She moved to the United States after marrying a member of the US Air Force, promptly and proudly becoming an American citizen.
She worked within the banking industry 25 years, surviving the merger and acquisition of numerous banking establishments, ultimately retiring as a bank officer.
Most of the recent 40 years were spent in Jacksonville, Florida where she was active with the Shrine organization, supporting their children’s hospitals. She enjoyed her friends while engaging with local Red Hat activities and was an avid pickleball player. Even in the last months while not being able to move quickly, she had a mean serve! Her interests included gardening, sewing, crocheting, knitting, and painting. She was indeed, a multi-talented individual.
Beryl joins her mother, father, brother, two sisters and spouse of 56 years, who preceded her in death.
Beryl will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sharon Kaminer (Kathy) of Augusta, GA, Dale Kaminer of Augusta, GA, Darleen Morgan of Gainesville, FL; sister, Lea Metz of Parkersburg, WV; brother, Dennis Brown of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Wesley Morgan of Jacksonville, FL, Bradley Morgan of Orlando, FL, numerous nieces, nephews and special pets.
A Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Anand Jillella and his medical team. They would also like to thank the nurses (Vera and Kathy) and staff of Trinity Hospice.
Memorial donations may be made in Beryl’s name to Trinity Hospice – Augusta.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.elliottsonsmartinez.com for the Kaminer family.
