A Visitation in honor of his memory will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Columbia Rd.
Mr. McCarthy was born in Nurnberg Germany to the late Charles Dudley McCarthy Jr. and Mrs. Helen C. Mack McCarthy. He had worked as a carpenter for many years.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Helen C. McCarthy, his sisters, Patricia Lynn McCarthy and her husband C.A. Cruse, Janet (Steve) Flint, and Elizabeth McCarthy. Brother, William McCarthy, and five nieces and nephews. Also, members of the Perkins and Magic families, who he considered to be family as well.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
