Chris was more than just a co-worker and friend. He was my brother. He was real, and he loved his family. Lynn and Abbagayle were his heartbeat. I am so thankful for the gift of memories and I know in my heart yours will become even more as a precious gift. The UHM Cardiopulmonary Department will NEVER be the same. We have truly suffered a great and painful loss that will be felt for months and years to come. We will have to just take one day at a time, and embrace each day that God gives us with His Amazing Grace. Lynn, you are my sister and I will always love you. You know this was not the outcome I was expecting or praying for, but we know God always has a better plan than we can ever imagine. With a humbled heart and a sisters love, I wish you all much happiness and peace from above.

I can't explain the sadness I felt when I heard the news. Chris and Sonja were the first friends I remember having as a child. Later, when we were adults, I was Chris' orthodontist assistant. He would always wait for me to have my chair open so I could work on him. I would pick on him that he was too handsome already without having a gorgeous smile too! He would laugh kinda shyly.  He was just a beautiful person, inside and out. I love you Bill, Jo and Sonja. I thank you for sharing your beautiful brother and child with us. He was a precious person with a kind heart. He will be missed.

I am so saddened by the loss of Chris. I knew him from McDuffie and worked with him for many years. I have been gone from there for a while but Chris took wonderful care of my mother-in-law who was a patient there last summer. He had a caring and patient manner and was loved by his colleagues and friends. I know he will be sorely missed and my thoughts and prayers are with his family.

As a fellow respiratory therapist, it was my great pleasure working with Chris the past several years at Mcduffie. He was a great co-worker and always talked about his awesome family. He always share his candy and snacks that his wife packed in his lunch box. He was always gave me extra work hours to me, when he could, in order to help me out. We always had a good laugh watching 'Married with children' in the early morning hours during shift change. I could always count on him watching the weather channel and giving me the coming days weather. I can still smell his cologne and his hearty smile when he walked in at 640pm sharp for work. He never left work undone and always stayed over to help me out. I will miss him greatly. I was very happy to read some of his last texts to my other co-worker sharing his love for the Messiah. Truly happy to know we will meet again in heaven.

I am heartbroken over the loss of this wonderful man but my heart also rejoices knowing he had a great relationship with the Lord! I had the priviledge of working with Chris for many years and certainly considered him more of a friend  than just a co-worker. My prayers are certainly with all of the family and friends. I knew Chris from working at what was Mcduffie regional. He was there when I was hired. One of the first people I met.  He was kind , friendly, and spoke of his family with so much love. I will miss his smile. I pray the family finds peace in there souls and use their memories to see them through this difficult time.  May God bless you all.

I enjoyed working with Chris from the time he started working at what is now University Hospital McDuffie.  He was delightful to talk and work with and treated his patients with skill and respect.  He was a kind and gentle soul and always brought me to a better place with each smile or conversation.  He brightened a room by walking into it.  I have shed many tears and prayed for his family that they find some comfort in remembering the happy times they shared.  He was loved by many people you will never know.  He was an awesome man and I cherish my memories of him.
