Connie F. Johnson

Connie Faye Dollar Johnson, 75, of Augusta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Larry Johnson Sr. Connie was born January 13, 1951, in Laurens County, Georgia, to the late Donald B. Dollar Sr. and Juanita Summerlin Dollar. She retired from Lackman Food Service and was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Augusta, Ga.

Connie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, friend and caretaker. She was best known for her cooking. She loved her family deeply, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Connie was preceded in death by her sisters, Esther Tanner and Edna Foskey; brother, Donald B. Dollar Jr.; and stepdaughter, Emma Haynes.

She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Myers (Donnie) of Dublin, Ga, and Catherine Alewine of Bluffton, SC; grandchildren Savanna Myers, Kimberly Howell (Page), Christian Alewine, Caleb Alewine, and Courtney Boan; stepson Joseph L. Johnson Jr., stepdaughter Connie Lynn Hill; sisters Patricia Gildon, Elizabeth Hedrick, and Donita Alexandra; brother Lester Dollar; six great-grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held September 27, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Faith Christian Assembly, 1252 Snellbridge Rd., East Dublin, GA 31027. Interment will be held at a later date at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia.
