Mrs. Diane Swearingen Hartzman, 71, of Augusta, Georgia passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015. She was a proud nurse by profession and cook and adventure seeker by hobby. She loved animals and never knew a stray that was a stray for long. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. She had a tremendous love and passion for the British Virgin Islands and enjoyed traveling there annually with her love, Bill. Together they also enjoyed sailing and spending time with their “Island friends.”
Mrs. Hartzman is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Marguerite Swearingen of Wilmington, DE. Mrs. Hartzman is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Hartzman; daughters, Julie (Jordan) Leopard of Augusta, GA and Jennifer (Matt) Luongo of Collingswood, NJ; grandchildren, David, Jasmine (Kevin), Alexandr (Chrissy), Joseph, Nathan, Michael, John; and great-grandchildren, Isaiah and William.
Services are being handled by Elliott Sons Funeral Home and will be private.
