Donato Cruz, 83, entered into Heaven on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Doctors Hospital. Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Elliott Sons, Columbia Road Chapel with Rev. John Story officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Mr. Cruz served in the U.S. Army with two tours in Vietnam and service during the Korean Conflict. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a Columbia Nitrogen retiree. Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years Ernestine Cruz; daughters and sons-in-law Marilyn C. (Ken) Hedrick, Ada B. (David) Brownson, Ernestine (Will) Judy, Debbie C. (Kenneth) Buchholz and Nitza Cruz; son William A. Cruz; step-son Seigfried Sima; sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by son David Donato Cruz. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 9 PM at Elliott Sons, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, GA.
