

Dorothy Huber (Dottie) age 90 was born Dorothy Agnes Petersen on December 30,1933 in Brooklyn, New York to George and Agnes Petersen. Dorothy passed away peacefully on August 8,2024 in Martinez, Georgia.
Dottie married her childhood sweetheart, Richard Huber, on February 4, 1952. Together they had 5 children which Dottie devoted her life to. She loved being a mother and homemaker. She co-owned a salon for a short time where she was a hair stylist but always worked around her children's schedules. Dottie always had a passion for arts and crafts including ceramics, basket weaving, quilting, and cross stitch. She was also an excellent seamstress including making many of her children's clothes. Dottie loved cooking and baking. She was known near and far for her delicious Swedish Spritz Butter Cookies. Dottie was also quite athletic. She spent her younger years boating, water skiing, and snow skiing with her husband and all 5 children. As the children grew, she switched more to bowling and golf. She was quite accomplished at both even scoring a hole-in-one in golf, a goal her husband never achieved. Dottie truly lived and breathed her family her entire life.
She was preceded in death by Richard Huber, her husband of 65 years and one sister Janet Collins She is survived by one sister, Karin Schmoyer, 5 children Susan, Christine, Robert, Kathleen, and Patricia, 13 grandchildren, and 6 great-children.
