Dwain A. Hadden Sr.

Mr. Hadden was retired from the Richmond County School System as a locksmith. He was a member of the Grand Lodge of Georgia 699. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish. He is survived by his beloved wife, Becky Hadden, of 42 years. They both enjoyed camping and fishing at Clarks Hill. In his later years, he loved spending all of his time with his grandchildren.

Other survivors include his son, D.J. Hadden (Dana) and grandchildren, Tanner and Tristan; daughter, Christy Hadden Gonsalves (Michael) and grandchildren, Jonas, Evan, Dylan, and Cody. Additional survivors include, brothers, Wiley Hadden, Melvin Hadden, and Sonny Hadden; sisters, Billie Jean Hadden Faust and Jeanette Hadden Clark. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Ellis Allen Newsome, and his mother, Jeanette Newsome Hadden; and brother, Freddie Hadden.

The family would like to thank those who lovingly took care of Mr. Hadden in his last days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to National Hills Baptist Church, 2725 Washington Road, Augusta, GA 30809.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, GA 30907. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
