

Evans, GA- Easie G. Carter- Retired Hospital Dietician and Homemaker – entered into rest on Friday, February 1, 2013 in Evans, GA was married for 57 years to the late Wilson Clifford Carter, and was the daughter of the late Zilly Alley Barnes Ganous and the late William Lonnie Ganous. Easie would have celebrated her 100th birthday on February 7, 2013. Memorial services will be held 2:30 pm Friday, February 8, 2013 at First Baptist Church of Evans with Rev. Chip Reeves and Rev. Philip Hedgecoth officiating. Interment will be at Twin Cities Memorial Cemetery in Loris, SC. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Loris First Baptist Church.
Easie was born in Boardman, NC but married and resided in the Horry County area of South Carolina for her entire married life. She moved to Martinez, GA in 1994 where she lived with her granddaughter, Melony Carter and discovered a love of travel and adventure. She enjoyed extensive travels taking numerous ocean cruises in the Caribbean, Alaska and Hawaii and many road trips throughout the Southeast.
Easie is preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Carter Day Moore, late of Clearwater, SC; two grandsons Stephen Paul Spivey, late of Conway, SC and Kenneth Darryl Spivey, late of Loris, SC; two great-grandchildren; eleven brothers and sisters and more than a dozen brothers- and sisters-in-law.
She is survived by her daughter Alice Faye Spivey Hackney and her husband Mac of Longs, SC; her granddaughters Melony Carter of Martinez, GA and Tracey Sadowski of Conway, SC; her son-in law Kenneth Moore and wife Patti of Clearwater, SC; four great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, numerous much-loved nieces and nephews, and many “adopted” grandchildren, nieces and nephews throughout Georgia and South Carolina. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Evans General Fund, P.O. Box 159, Evans, GA 30809-0159.
