I first met Ed over 45 years ago when my family moved to Thomson Ga. and I became friends with his wife Petra.
As the years went by we became more like family .
My earliest memory was the week after we moved to Thomson. My son who was 5 became friends with their son Braian who was 6 and we all went fishing ,Ed taught my son Mike how to fish and told him each time you cast the fishing rod out you have to yell
"Curt Gowdy"
(American Sports Caster well known for the long time 'voice' for the Boston Red Socks)
Also known for Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame.)
My latest memory was a few months ago and we we came up for Ed's birthday . One morning Ed wanted grits and over easy eggs for breakfast he called me inside and said "Connie you are a Southern woman teach Petra how to make over easy eggs please"
I showed her how to make them the way my mom had showed me and she made his eggs and he said they were delicious. I was so happy that he enjoyed his breakfast !
RIP Sweetie🙏
We love you and miss you ❤
