

Erma Jean (Glaser) Oliver was born November 12, 1937, to William F. and Lillie L. (Lashbrook) Glaser in Evansville, Indiana. She was seventh of seven children.
Erma and her husband Bob lived in Evansville, Indiana before moving to Martinez GA. in 1977 after Bob accepted a new position in the insurance business. They transferred to Spartanburg SC. in 1981 where they lived for eleven years before returning to Martinez in 1992 to be closer to their family and friends.
Erma spent many years working in the banking industry before retiring from South State Bank, Martinez branch in 2012.
Erma enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and coloring which she always said, “kept her mind sharp”. Most days you would find her watching her favorite movies on the Hallmark channel. After her open-heart surgery in 2021, Erma was faithful in doing her daily exercises. She was a firm believer in “if you don’t use it, you lose it”. Mostly, Erma loved spending time with her family. Affectionately known as “Mamie”, she was especially proud of her grandchildren and great grandbabies.
Erma is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert L. Oliver Sr; daughter, Teri Lea Staulcup, son Robert L. Oliver Jr. and great grandson Asher Leland Staulcup. She is survived by her son in love, Karl Staulcup (Darlene); grandchildren Kyle Staulcup (Brittany), Taylor Staulcup (Sasha), Kayla Timbers (Ricky), Garrett Fogg (Brittany); Great grandchildren Crue, Hannah, Karis and Kessner Staulcup, Oliver and Aiden Timbers and Gabriel Fogg; Along with many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church and enjoyed attending the Young at Heart fellowship group when she was able. Her family is very thankful for the love and support that she received through the years from her church family.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 13, 2025, beginning at 1:00 pm with a memorial service following at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Ben Wills officiating. Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church, 5555 Hereford Farm Rd, Evans, Georgia 30809.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lewis Memorial UMC Young at Heart Fund.
