A celebration of life will be held at 5PM on Monday February 3, 2014 at Elliott Sons, Columbia Road Chapel with Rev. Alan Quarles officiating. Military Honors will be accorded by the Ceremonial Detachment of Fort Gordon.
Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army achieving Sergeant First Class. While serving in an elite Special Forces unit he earned the honor of Green Beret. He served two years in Vietnam, three years in the Panama Canal Zone, and seven years in Germany where he met and married the love of his life. After he retired from the military he worked for many years in Civil Service. He was a member of Social Lodge # 1, a Sojourner in the Clarence H. Cohen Chapter 162, a Hero of 76, a member of American Legion Post 178, and a member of the German Friendship Club.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years Christine Dennison; sons and daughter-in-law Michael W. Dennison, Robert P. Dennison, and Stacey Dennison; grandsons Matthew and Nicholas Dennison; and his beloved Yorkie, Heidi, for which Bill was her best buddy.
