Gerald Richard Jennings

Mr. Jennings was born to the late Robert and Dauzie Jennings in Augusta, GA. In his younger days, he enjoyed fishing, farming, and restoring classic vehicles. He was the former owner of the Texaco Automotive Shop in Augusta for many years. Mr. Jennings retired from Thermal Ceramics, formerly Babcock Wilcox, where he worked for most of his adult life. He was known for his loving nature, always providing for his family.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jennings is preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Jennings, siblings, Bobby Young, Robert Jennings III, Thomas Ray Jennings, Otis Jennings, Peggy Joyce Reid, Judith Marie Jennings, and Alvin Roney Young. Survivors include his children, April Jennings Bronstein (James), Joyce Beecher (Ryan) and Jerri Jennings-Joly (Paul); siblings, Pete Wells, George Young and Virgil Jennings; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved him dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Belleuve Memorial Gardens.
