OBITUARY

Gilman "Gin" Ong

January 3, 1995July 28, 2020

Gilman “Gin” Ong entered into rest on Tuesday, July 28, 2020.

Gin was a loving and nurturing spirit. His infectious smile and witty sense of humor never failed to lift any who were fortunate to cross paths with him. He was known as a “nerd” for his intellect, love for video games, anime, and all things tech. His passion food, unwavering, and his knowledge of cuisines, unmatched. He was not only loved by his friends and very much by his family, he was cherished above all by his fiancée, Emily. Though he is leaving his friends, family, and gaming community who knew him as Gin M'to-zen, the memories that were left will surely live on.

Survivors include his mother, Nikki Roberson; step-father, Michael Leaptrotte; sister, Claudia Ong; brother, Bryan Ong; nephew, Mason Jenkins; fiancée, Emily Flanders; step-brothers, Nicklaus and John Jr. Roberson; sisters-in-law, Erika and Brittiny Roberson; bonus mom Brenda Lee Carter-Smith; and bonus brothers, Christian Caines and JJ Blue.

Visitation will be held from 2-4pm on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, GA 30907.

Gilman was always a friendly soul that could make anyone around him smile and be filled with joy and happiness, even in their worst of times. Everyday myself and Gilman would joke around and talk video games. I was always happy to see him and enjoyed working with him. The world lost one of its brightest souls, and I lost a friend. Rest In Peace, Gilman. You left an impact on many lives, and your spirit and memory will live on through them, myself included.

In loving Memory of my Son.
Of all the special gifts in life however great or small to have you as my son was the greatest gift of all.
A special time
A special face
A special Son

With aching heart
I Whisper Low
