Gladys Shorty Derriso

Services will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, at 4:00 p.m. at Elliott Sons Columbia Road Chapel with Pastor Bobby Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Gladys was born in Williston, SC, and lived most of her life in Augusta. She was a Registered Nurse for over fifty years and had been Director of Nursing at The Place at Martinez. Her life was dedicated to the care and comfort of others; she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Survivors include one daughter, Laura Davis, and her husband Charles (Rick); three sons, David Kernaghan, Jackie Kernaghan and his wife Morri, Timothy McQuain and wife Teresa; grandchildren, Crystal Colohan, Rachael Reeves, Ashley Watson, Jazz Kernaghan, Josh Swearingen, Morgan Swearingen, Skylar and Madison Kernaghan, Josh and Alex McQuain, Tyler and Amber Statham; great grandchildren, Zachary Estes and Xander Colohan.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 1, 2010, from 6-8 PM.
