

Mr. Pate was born to the late Paul Pate and Ruth Phelps in New Tazewell, TN. He joined the 319th Army Reserve Unit that served in Vietnam. He retired from Winn-Dixies after 31 years of employment and then had a cookie route in South Carolina for many years.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Linda Pate; sons, Brian Pate and his wife, Kim and Keith Pate and his wife, Brandi; 4 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9-10am on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home.
The family would like to give their thanks and appreciation for the care and compassion that the Hospice Care at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center showed Mr. Pate during his time there.
