Mrs. Hildegard Blackledge

Augusta----Hildegard Blackledge, 76, loving wife and mother, entered into rest on Saturday, December 24, 2011, at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Columbia Road Chapel, with Pastor Ricky Coule officiating.

Mrs. Blackledge was retired from Lily Cup of Augusta with 30 years of service as a supervisor. She was a member of the Ladies Auxillary VFW Post 3200. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank B. Blackledge.

Survivors include her children Jim (Sally) Blackledge of Augusta, JoAnne (Billy) Rodgers of Aiken, Frank (Lee) Blackledge of Augusta, Susan (Eric) Old of Augusta and Sandi (Mark) Huff of Lincolnton; sister, Emmi Sehrt of Germany, sister-in-law Alva Jenkins of Fairfield, NJ; seven grandchildren: Matthew (Amanda) MacPhail, Kristen (Kenny) Dye, Zach Ferguson, David Huff, Eric (Debbie) Old, Jr., Ashley (Brian) Edwards, and Melissa (Jaremy) Wilson; sixteen great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her nieces/adopted daughters Kirsten Huttner of Germany and Heather (Doug) Doan.

The family will receive friends at l:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio 44720, and to the American Cancer Society, 607 Commons Blvd., Augusta GA 30907.
