Jack Marvin Shapiro, 88, of Sandy Springs, formerly of Augusta, died, February 10, 2020 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. He was born on January 19, 1932, in Hibbing, Minnesota, a son of the late James and Rose Teich Shapiro. He was a graduate of the University of Miami where he met Jackie Cohen, his wife of 66 years. Jack was the manager of Marks Fabrics in Augusta. He is survived by his daughter, Cathy S Gross; sons, Joel M Shapiro and John M. Shapiro, son-in-law Richard Gross, daughter-in-law Michelle Shapiro and 5 grandchildren; Matthew Gross, Micah Gross, Jeffrey Gross, Rachel Shapiro, Emily Shapiro and a great grandaughter, Maggie Willa Gross. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, February 12, at Westover Memorial Park, officiated by Rabbi Shai Beloosesky. Memorials may be made to the; Congregation Children of Israel, 3005 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30909.

So sorry to read this about Mr. Shapiro. Mr and Mrs Shapiro had been patients of mine for many many years until they moved to Atlanta. He was always one of our favorite patients. I sure have missed the jokes and stories he would tell me. One thing is for sure , he loved his family and was very proud of them. I know he will be missed by all. Prayers to Mrs. Shapiro and her family.
