James Steven McCracken

Steve was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, and Pop. He loved his family and friends and always had a funny story or joke to tell. He enjoyed restoring classic American muscle cars, time at the lake, and time with “his” golden retriever, Murphy.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence James and Evelyn Marie McCracken. He is survived by his loving wife, Dionne; daughter, Brittany (Brandon) Odom; grandchildren, Bryson and Olivia Odom; sister, Diane (Richard) Golladay; and many loved cousins, nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 2-5pm at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road Martinez, GA 30907. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024 at 11am at the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Steele officiating. Pallbearers will be the Chapman cousins, Carl, Tim, Adam, Chris, Terry, Danny, and Billy.
