James Gary Peel

Mr. Gary Peel, 71, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 21, 2018. Gary was full of life and enjoyed every minute of it. He had a love of laughter and many knew him to be a prankster. You could find him on Sunday mornings at Warren Baptist Church, greeting members with a smile. Gary loved the art of woodwork and was blessed with the talent to make beautiful authentic pieces. In his free time, he found much joy in kicking back to watch the Hallmark Channel and the Golf Channel.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; Mr. James Robert McCoy and Ms. Lillian Poston. Left to cherish his fond memories is his loving wife of almost 50 years, Mrs. Cheryl Ansley Peel; his children, James Gary Peel Jr. (Sandy), Craig Glenn Peel (Mary), John Michael Peel (April), Mary Ellen Butler (Brian); his grandchildren, Kelsey Landers, Kimberly Hudspeth, Landry Peel, Caleb Mason, Karsyn Peel, Rylan Butler, Trace Butler, Kinley Butler; one great- grandchild, Ryder Landers and his brothers, Wayne Peel and Danny Smith.

Graveside services for Mr. Gary Peel will be held 11 AM Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pastor Roger Henderson will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends 5PM-7PM Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the Columbia Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home.
